Delivered in April 2006, Steve Thomas's Glasair SII RG is now flying with a MISTRAL G-190.

« I just passed the 7th anniversary of my project and for most of that time I've been thinking about engines. I've always wanted an engine that represented 21st century technology. While there is nothing wrong with using something originally designed in the 1930's, just not for me. Further, using an engine with 3 internal moving parts is superior to using an engine with 40 plus moving parts! Mistral Engines provided me with the opportunity to use a state-of-the-art engine without having to build it myself. Further, this engine mounts on standard dynafocal or bed-type mounts allowing the builder to use stock engine mounts.
