For the first time, MISTRAL Engines was present at MAKS 2007, the Moscow Airshow. Our products were represented by Aviama, MISTRAL’s distributor for Russia as well as CIS countries.
General aviation is on the verge of big growth in Russia. In some other Eastern European countries, this growth is already happening. Projects of all kinds are appearing: trainers, aerobatic and surveillance airplanes, touring and executive-transport machines, seaplanes etc, as well as many helicopter and other rotary-wing projects.
As avgas is available almost nowhere in these countries all these very diverse projects have one thing in common: the need for modern, multifuel-technology engines. MISTRAL has been able to position itself as a partner most attentive to the needs of these markets. After the contract signed earlier on this year with Kazan Helicopters for the motorization of their new Aktai light-helicopter, we are proud to announce the signature of a second contract, with a Russian manufacturer. The name will be announced later.
