MISTRAL Engines’ rear plate provides options for either dynafocal or bed-type engine mounts and the drives for critical accessories such as the main alternator and vacuum or hydraulic pump. The coolant and oil pumps are integrated in the back-plate.
All of MISTRAL engines’ structural components have been computer analyzed and tested with a powerful Finite-Element-Analysis software to ensure that they stand up to the most rigorous loading conditions that extreme flight maneuvers can produce. Manufacturing methods and non-destructive testing techniques are chosen and implemented to ensure the conformity, safety and integrity of each part.
The engine can be equipped with single or dual alternators, and has three additional accessory drive pads which can be used for a hydraulic constant-speed propeller governor, vacuum pump, hydraulic pump or air-conditioning compressor.
